"Studying abroad was BY FAR the most impactful thing I did throughout my undergraduate career. Not only was I able to become fluent in a commonly used language in Spanish, I was able to do so in its place of origin in Valladolid, Spain - all while living with a wonderful, caring host family who introduced me to their beautiful country and culture. The Spanish Language & Culture program in Valladolid not only introduced me to other wonderful American students, but it gave me the confidence to speak and understand the local language fluently, which unlocked a whole world of possibilities and people to talk to! Studying abroad was the most uncomfortable yet rewarding experience I could have dreamt, and I would do it all over again if I could!"
